Jellutide BHB: How Much Ketone Salt Is in One Gummy?

Quick answer

Jellutide BHB salts are the second line in the gummy's 525 mg blend, so they weigh at most about 262 mg by order alone. The printed calcium, magnesium and sodium point lower: about 27 mg at most, by our arithmetic. Ketone studies gave 10-40 g of BHB, and a 6-week diet trial found 24 g a day added nothing to body composition.

The amount01

How much BHB is in Jellutide?

Jellutide BHB salts weigh about 27 mg or less per gummy, by our arithmetic from the label. The bottle does not print the amount.

The salts sit second in a 525 mg proprietary blend, after apple cider vinegar. Blend lines run from most to least (21 CFR 101.36 (proprietary blends)), so BHB cannot pass about 262 mg.

The mineral lines tighten that ceiling a lot. Each BHB salt carries a mineral, and the label prints exactly how much of each mineral the gummy holds.

The math02

How do the minerals on the label cap the BHB salts?

The label lists 1 mg of calcium, 0.75 mg of magnesium and 2.5 mg of sodium. Those minerals ride on the BHB salts, so they limit how much salt can be there.

Calcium is only about 16% of calcium BHB by weight. So 1 mg of calcium points to about 6 mg of calcium BHB at most. The same step works for the other two salts.

Add the three and you reach about 27 mg. Sodium citrate in the gummy base adds sodium too, so the true figure can only be lower.

How the printed minerals cap the BHB salts in one gummy. If every milligram of calcium, magnesium and sodium came from the BHB salts, this is the most salt the gummy could hold. Sodium citrate also adds sodium, so the real figure can only be lower.
Mineral linePrinted per gummyMineral share of the saltSalt ceiling
Calcium1 mgAbout 16.3% of calcium BHBAt most about 6 mg of calcium BHB
Magnesium0.75 mgAbout 10.5% of magnesium BHBAt most about 7 mg of magnesium BHB
Sodium2.5 mgAbout 18.2% of sodium BHBAt most about 14 mg of sodium BHB
All three4.25 mgAbout 27 mg of BHB salts, at most

Mineral shares come from the formula weights of each salt (for example, calcium is about 40 of the 246 units of weight in calcium BHB). Ketone studies gave about 10-40 g of BHB as salts (Evans 2022, exogenous ketone review). This is our arithmetic from the label, not a lab test.

What it is03

What are keto BHB salts?

Keto BHB salts are beta-hydroxybutyrate, a ketone your liver makes during fasting, bound to a mineral such as calcium, magnesium or sodium.

They are sold as "exogenous ketones", meaning ketones from outside the body. Most salt products are a mix of two mirror-image forms, and only one form is the main fuel your body uses (Evans 2022, exogenous ketone review).

Ketone esters are the other type. In a head-to-head test, esters raised blood ketones much more than salts at the same BHB dose (Stubbs 2017, ketone ester vs salts).

The evidence04

Do BHB ketone salts help with weight loss?

Not in the best trial we found. Adding about 24 g a day of BHB salt to a 6-week ketogenic diet did not improve body composition beyond the diet alone.

In that trial, adults with overweight or obesity ate a controlled, lower-calorie keto diet. Twelve took the salt and 13 took a placebo, and neither group knew which (Buga 2021, ketone salts + diet trial).

The diet worked for both groups. The salt raised blood ketones, yet body composition did not change any further.

01

No weight-loss review

We found no review or meta-analysis showing that ketone salts cause weight loss.

02

Short-term only

A 2022 review found ketone drinks raise BHB and lower blood sugar for a few hours, with little data on long use.

Every dose in these studies was measured in grams. Jellutide's is measured in milligrams.

Ketosis05

Can one Jellutide gummy raise your blood ketones?

It is very unlikely. Studies needed about 10-40 g of BHB as salts to lift blood ketones to roughly 0.4-1.0 mM (Evans 2022, exogenous ketone review).

The low end, 10 g, is 10,000 mg. That is more than 350 times our 27 mg ceiling for one gummy. Nobody has measured ketones after a Jellutide gummy.

The label never claims ketosis. Its front says "Supports Metabolism*", and the asterisk points to the FDA statement that the claim was not evaluated.

A keto diet changes what you eat all day. A few milligrams of ketone salt cannot stand in for that. See how Jellutide is meant to work for the whole picture.

Safety06

Are the BHB salts in Jellutide safe?

At this size, the BHB salts add very little. The known problems with ketone salts, stomach upset and a heavy mineral load, come from gram-sized doses.

A sports-medicine review lists gut trouble among the problems seen with ketone supplements, and it warns about taking in lots of minerals (Evans 2022, exogenous ketone review). One gummy prints 4.25 mg of minerals in total, all at 0% of the Daily Value.

The label's own caution still applies. Anyone under a physician's care, taking medication, pregnant or nursing should ask first.

Keep taking prescribed medicine

Do not stop, skip or change any prescription, including a GLP-1 medicine or diabetes medicine, because you started a supplement. Bring the bottle to your next visit (FDA, Mixing medications and supplements).

Other reactions people ask about are covered on Jellutide side effects.

Next07

Which Jellutide ingredient makes up most of the blend?

Apple cider vinegar does. If the BHB salts are 27 mg or less, vinegar fills about 498 mg or more of the 525 mg blend.

The sales page lists a different formula with herbs and amino acids. We follow the bottle label, and you should read the one that arrives.

FAQ08

Jellutide BHB salts: questions

Does Jellutide contain exogenous ketones?

Yes, in a small amount. The label lists BHB calcium, magnesium and sodium salts, which are exogenous ketones. They are the second of two blend lines, and the printed minerals cap them at about 27 mg per gummy by our arithmetic.

How many grams of BHB do keto supplements usually use in studies?

Studies used about 10 to 40 g of BHB as salts per dose (Evans 2022, exogenous ketone review), and one diet trial gave 24 g a day (Buga 2021, ketone salts + diet trial). That is grams, not milligrams. A single Jellutide gummy holds a tiny fraction of those amounts.

What is the difference between BHB salts and ketone esters?

BHB salts bind the ketone to a mineral, while ketone esters bind it to another molecule. In a 2017 study, ester drinks raised blood D-BHB to 2.8 mM and salt drinks to 1.0 mM at similar doses (Stubbs 2017, ketone ester vs salts). Jellutide uses salts.

Is the sodium from Jellutide BHB salts a problem on a low-salt diet?

Unlikely, since one gummy lists only 2.5 mg of sodium, which is 0% of the Daily Value. Part of that may come from sodium citrate. If your doctor set a strict sodium limit, show them the label anyway.

Are BHB salts the same as raspberry ketones?

No. BHB is a ketone body your liver makes. Raspberry ketone is a flavor compound from berries (OPSS (DoD), Raspberry Ketone). Jellutide's label lists BHB salts; raspberry ketones appear only on the sales page, not on the bottle.

Will Jellutide BHB salts break a fast?

Probably not in any meaningful way. The BHB salts are a few milligrams, but the gummy itself has 8 calories and 2 g of sugar. The label asks you to take it about 30 minutes before a meal, not on a long fast.
